Package 'PlotTrellis'

Title: Composable Genomic Track Visualisations for Non-Coders
Description: A plotgardener-based genomic track composer that lets biologists build common EDA visualisations (coverage, Hi-C, splice junctions, transcript structure, protein domains) via a Shiny interface, without writing code, and download a standalone R script that reproduces the exact figure offline.

Launch the PlotTrellis Shiny app

Description

Starts the PlotTrellis genomic track composer: a 2-page Shiny app (Compose | Output) that lets you build plotgardener-based visualisations without writing code, and download a standalone R script that reproduces the exact figure offline. Blocks until the app is closed; on first run (or when re-entering project settings), automatically launches the setup wizard first and continues straight into the composer once it's saved – no separate re-launch needed.

Usage

PlotTrellisApp(
  project_dir = tools::R_user_dir("PlotTrellis", which = "config"),
  ...
)

Arguments

project_dir

Directory holding this project's project_settings.json and its cache/downloaded-script state. Defaults to a per-user config directory (via tools::R_user_dir()) so multiple projects can each pass their own.

...

Passed through to shiny::runApp() (e.g. launch.browser, port, host).

Value

Invisibly, the return value of the final shiny::runApp() call (e.g. once the browser tab is closed) – not a shiny.appobj, since this function itself runs the app rather than returning one to run.

Examples

if (interactive()) {
  PlotTrellisApp(project_dir = tempdir())
}
